Join your neighbors on the First Friday of every month for a casual social gathering. This is an excellent chance for you to connect with the community, meet your neighbors face to face, and visit with old friends. Whether you just moved to KHCD or you’ve been here your entire life, we want to see you!

Each event is generously hosted at a neighbor’s home, see the calendar for addresses. Hosts provide light refreshments for guests. If you’d like to volunteer to host a First Friday in your home or in your back/front yard, please email us at khcd.communications@gmail.com.

First Friday’s Restart, a Breath of Fresh Air

Approximately 50+ Kings Highway neighbors enjoyed an evening of socializing on Friday, September 8th for the return of First Friday, a social event for neighbors to catch up, relax and meet one another.

The evening was graciously hosted at the home of Terrance Nichols and Tony Nuncio, and it was great to meet so many new neighbors to the KHCD area.  For those families who can’t always make it to a First Friday event, KHCD is organizing it’s first Family Friendly Halloween Get Together @ Stone Park on October 28th, 9 AM – 12 AM.  Also, you can join in on the fun at the National Night Out at Twelve Hills on October 3rd.

Our October First Friday event will be held on Friday, October 6th at the home of

KHCD First Friday

The schedule for 2014 KHCD “First Friday” socials is being put together and quickly filling up. This is a monthly gathering of KHCD neighbors at a neighbor’s home or local restaurant. Hosts are asked to provide light snacks and beer/wine. Neighbors attending may also bring  some refreshments – just ask. Currently, the following dates are open:

February 7th
April 4th
May 2nd
June 6th
December 5th

The first Friday of every month, one of our neighbors opens their home to the community for a social event where you can meet your neighbors and learn more about KHCD. September’s event will be hosted by Homero and America Gonzalez, so mark the date on your calendar!
